The borough of Marche spreads to the north, to the limits of the Famenne depression, and to the south, to the edge of the Ardenne forest. A total area of 29,500 acres, of which 2,500 are forests. It has 17,134 inhabitants and includes, around the town of Marche-en-Famenne, the villages of Aye, Champlon-Famenne, Grimbiémont, Hargimont, Hollogne, Humain, Lignières, Marloie, On, Roy, Verdenne and Waha.
Proud of its past, of its natural,
architectural and cultural heritage,
and pleased of its economic, commercial,
administrative, judiciary, military
and tourist destiny, Marche en Famenne
is simultaneously an attractive
regional pole, a green centre and
a dynamic entity with a promising
future. Its fountains, statues and
works of art are as many signs of
a successful urban renovation. Its
pedestrian streets provide calm
and security in the heart of the
city.

The borough of Nassogne, situated
in the Ardennes, covers an area
of 27,400 acres, has 5,000 inhabitants
and includes the villages of Nassogne,
Lesterny, Masbourg, Mormont, Ambly,
Forrières, Grune, Bande,
Chavanne, Charneux and Harsin.
A forest with 60% broad-leaved trees
and 40% coniferous trees covers
over half the territory. It remains
the privileged domain of an abundant
fauna of deer, roe deer and wild
boar.
By
its geographical situation and its
tranquillity, Nassogne, also named
“Nassogne the Roman”,
has a lot to offer its visitors.
Situated at the very edge of the
Ardennes, the village of Nassogne
dominates a remarkable grouping
of forests, hills and valleys. A
picturesque place having preserved
the richness of its rural life,
it is recommended for its calm,
its pure air and walks through the
forest. Nassogne is also a land
of traditions where breeders respect
nature and animals alike and offer
quality products, as at the deer
farm with its “organic”
label, at the sheep farm or also,
in the valley at the village edge,
the free roaming pigs. You are welcomed
to the discovery of these breeding
farms.
