Located in a superb 18th c. house the Museum of the Famenne will lead you on a trip from Prehistory to Modern Art !
The Merovingian and Carolingian periods are illustrated by a remarkable collection coming from the Wellin and Hamoir excavations.
The museum pays tribute to the Master of Waha, a timeless sculptor and one of the most savoury characters of late Gothic sculpture, to whom an audio-visual montage is also to be seen in the Saint-Etienne church of Waha.
An area is attributed to the Famenne and to Marche, to its geological and historical characteristics, to the fortunes and misfortunes of the town.
One room is dedicated to the Monument, a 17th c. sanctuary. Crafts of yesteryear are also represented, as well as Modern and Contemporary Art.

Faced by climate changes, it actively takes part in the regeneration of the natural heritage by guaranteeing to maintain a high genetic diversity.
