For people who do not wish to drink alcohol: traditional apple juice, orange juice or water (to be advised when booking).

Traditional food products
Matoufè 
The Matoufè is a regional dish created and promoted by the Brotherhood of Matoufè of Marche-en-Famenne. Prepared with lean salted bacon, eggs, milk, flour, it is served on farmhouse wholemeal bread or in an earthenware dish. This delicious preparation probably owes to its simplicity to come from so far back and to be privileged in all popular events.
It can be sampled during the various events in which the Brotherhood of Matoufè take part, amongst others the 1900 Market, a major popular fete that takes place on August 15th in Marche-en-Famenne.
Elixir du Pair Noble
A green liqueur with a sweet and rich aroma, the 'Elixir du Pair Noble' is the image of the Brotherhood of Matoufè motto ‘Noblesse Oblige’ and deserves to be sampled. Locally made by the Ardenne's Distillery.
It can be sampled during the various events in which the Brotherhood of Matoufè take part, amongst others the 1900 Market, a major popular fete that takes place on August 15th in Marche-en-Famenne.
Wasté 
The Wasté (trade mark) is a raisin cake shaped as a crown and appreciated since a very long time in the region of Marche. It is usually served in all celebrations with or without Ardenne ham.

Baiser de Marche
The Baiser de Marche (registered trade mark) is composed of two macaroons stuck together by a layer of butter cream.

Prunelle du Fond des Vaulx
Liqueur prepared following an ancient recipe based on sloes picked after the first frost. The prunelle of Fond des Vaulx is drunk as a brandy. It is known to warm the body… and the heart.

between two hills and covers 110 acres. 300 animals are biologically raised here.
Organisation for groups with reservation of evenings listening to the stag’s belling.

The Ardenne free-range pig is an animal resulting from the crossbreeding of the oldest
porcine breeds. An alternative breeding technique that privileges a traditional production.
A rustic breed of pigs and a healthy foodstuff for an exceptional meat quality. Precious
moves from yesteryear and the know-how of the master craftsman to preserve the efforts
put in.
No guided visit but breeding perfectly visible in the valley from the road.
Butcher shop open from 9.00 to 12.30 and from 13.30 to 18.30. Closed on Wednesday and Sunday.

Producer of Ardenne ham (certified appellation). The natural salting, dry or in brine, the natural smoking with broadleaf
wood of the Ardenne, the slow maturing during which the flavours and odours of the region impregnate it, confirmed by
the certification seal (Promag), perpetuate an age old tradition for the pleasure of the taste buds of the most gourmet.
Open on Monday from 14.00 to 18.30, from Tuesday to Saturday from 9.00 to 18.30 and on Sunday form 9.00 to 12.00.

It’s one of the most important sheep breeding farms of Wallonia, situated at an altitude of 1200 ft. in a shrine of greenery. The livestock is composed of different breeds and totals near to 700 ewes raised biologically on some 200 acres necessary to feed them.
Mr Mulders also exploits, in the framework of a LIFE project, a herd of 400 ewes on very sensitive sites such as the peat bogs and vast fens.

The Saint-Monon brewery is the result of the collaboration between a young engineer in food
processing enthralled by fermented drinks and his parents who exploit a family farm. Traditional
manufacturing of an amber-coloured beer (slightly bitter, 6,5% alc.), dark (good balance
sweetness/bitterness, 7,5% alc.) with a honey-base (milder due to the particular taste of honey,
8% alc.). All the beers are brewed with a base of natural ingredients.
The tasting room adjacent to
the brewery allows you to discover the different types of beers with, in certain periods, the
possibility to look at the making process and to do your shopping.
Purchase possible from 9.00 to 12.00 and from 13.30 to18.00, except on Sunday.
